Clean Lists Save Money
Sending to invalid or inactive numbers wastes credits and hurts your delivery reputation. Regular list cleaning is essential.
What to Clean
- Invalid Numbers: Numbers that don't exist on any network
- Switched Off: Numbers that have been off for extended periods
- Duplicates: Same number appearing in multiple groups
- Opted Out: Contacts who've requested to stop receiving messages
How to Clean
- Navigate to Audience > Contacts
- Review contacts with consistently failed deliveries
- Remove or archive contacts with no successful delivery in the last 90 days
- Use the bulk actions menu to delete multiple contacts at once
Best Practices
- Clean your list before every major campaign
- Monitor your delivery rate — if it drops below 90%, clean immediately
- Respect opt-out requests promptly (TCRA requirement)
- Re-verify numbers after 6 months of inactivity
