Setting Up Your Sakura SMS Account

Welcome to Sakura SMS
Sakura SMS is Tanzania's premium bulk SMS and WhatsApp Business gateway. This guide walks you through setting up your account from scratch.
Step 1: Create Your Account
Visit sms.sakuragroup.co.tz/register and enter your business details. You'll need:
- Business name (must match your BRELA registration)
- Email address (used for login and notifications)
- Phone number (for OTP verification)
- Company name and industry
Step 2: Complete Onboarding
After registration, you'll be guided through a 7-step onboarding process:
- Business Details — Legal name, TIN, industry
- Sender ID Rules — Understanding TCRA regulations
- Credit Rates — Choose your pricing tier
- Channel Selection — SMS, WhatsApp, or both
- WhatsApp Setup — Optional Meta Business configuration
- Email Preferences — Billing alerts, campaign reports, weekly digest
- Account Review — Your account is submitted for admin approval
Step 3: Profile Configuration
Navigate to Settings > Profile. Ensure your business name matches your legal registration (BRELA). This is crucial for Sender ID approval. The network operators (Vodacom, Tigo, Airtel) verify this against the national registry.
Step 4: The Trust Score
Your account starts with a standard trust score. To unlock unlimited daily sending limits, complete the KYC verification process. Unverified accounts are limited to 50 SMS per day.
